Kimchi is a cousin to sauerkraut and is the Oriental take on cultured veggies. It’s created by blending Chinese cabbage with a variety of various other foods and flavors, like red pepper flakes, radishes, carrots, garlic, ginger, onion, sea salt and also a fish sauce. The blend is then left aside to ferment for three to 2 week, causing a flavor-filled, probiotic-packed ingredient.
